I really can’t recommend Jon enough. He is a brilliant teacher, but what sets him apart is how much he genuinely cares. He made me feel completely at ease behind the wheel from the very first lesson, and my confidence grew steadily every time I got in the car with him.
He has a real gift for explaining things clearly and calmly, no matter how many times you need to hear it, and he always seemed to know exactly what I needed to hear to settle my nerves. Nothing ever felt rushed, and mistakes were just part of the learning rather than something to feel bad about. I always left lessons feeling like I had actually improved. He was also always organised and reliable, on time for every lesson without fail.
What stood out the most, though, was how kind and considerate he was as a person, not just an instructor. He paid attention to how I was feeling and adjusted to that, which made such a difference. I still feel honoured to have the “Caetano Switch” named after me.
Now that he is running his own company, I genuinely could not be happier for him. If you are looking for a driving instructor who is skilled, reliable, and genuinely lovely to be around, look no further!

I began my driving journey with Jon completely from scratch – no previous instructors and zero prior time behind the wheel. Jon was patient and always explained things clearly and thoroughly, which really helped build my confidence on the road. Learning things like how the clutch engages and what the bite point actually does (rather than simply being told how to find it!) really helped me visualise the process and put it into practice with a genuine understanding of why I was doing each step. The idea of operating a vehicle was terrifying at first, but I was assured from the onset that I’d never be put into a scenario that was unsafe, or that I couldn’t handle with his help if needed! Jon’s calm approach made lessons easy going and enjoyable and each lesson was tailored to areas I needed to improve on. Thanks to his support and guidance, I felt fully prepared for my driving test and passed successfully first time!! I cannot recommend Jon enough! Coming in as my 5th instructor, Jon was calm, patient and steadfast in his commitment to polishing up my skills and gently and effectively ironing out some poor habits I had picked up elsewhere. His calm and positive demeanour made lessons a pleasure, and most importantly helped to refine the necessary safety skills that are essential to passing my test, and ultimately to ensuring that I will continue to drive in a safe manner moving forward. Motorway Lesson!
Had a great two hour motorway lesson with Jon as this wasn’t covered by my driving instructor, I passed a year ago but felt I needed confidence to do motorway driving. Highly recommend Jon’s patient, calm and easy to get along with.

Jon was my third driving instructor, and I really wish I’d had him from the start. He was great fun to be in the car with, never made driving feel like a chore, and always explained concepts and reasoning in a way that was really easy for me to understand. I always felt like he really went out of his way to tailor the lessons to my strengths and weaknesses, and he was constantly finding new ways to encourage and support me in areas I struggled with. I really cannot recommend Jon enough, and I’m sure he’ll only get better as time goes on.

Refresher lesson
After 7 years of not driving I wanted to have a lesson or 2 to boost my confidence and make sure my knowledge and skills were up to date. Jon was able to give me that confidence after 2hours of lessons I felt able to assess my driving skills ad competence and identify which areas were good and which needed a little more work. I am now comfortable on any roads even ones I don’t know well, and am able to continue to identify and work on weaker areas. Jon was patient and calm. Would definitely recommend for either refresher lessons or first time drivers wanting to get their full licences.
